Kiddie Day Parade

Since 1955, the Kiddie Day Parade has been one of Cartersville’s most treasured traditions, celebrating the spirit, creativity, and promise of the community’s children. The Cartersville Kiddie Day Parade is thought to be the longest continuous Kiddie Day Parade in the United States, as well as the largest parade strictly dedicated to children in the United States. This year’s selection of Dr. Levering recognizes her outstanding leadership and dedication to education.

The Kiddie Day Parade brings together families, civic organizations, schools, churches, businesses, and community leaders to celebrate the children of Bartow County and the rich heritage of Cartersville. Each year, spectators line the parade route to cheer on the young participants and enjoy this longstanding community celebration. Many local families have a history of 3 or 4 generations participating in the parade.

The 2026 Kiddie Day Parade took place in downtown Cartersville on Saturday, September 19 and welcomed hundreds of participants and community members for a morning of celebration, tradition, and hometown pride…..and prizes!
